And How the town is so quiet all the Students have gone for Spring Break and invading the Beach, after this long cold winter I can’t blame them wish I was there. For all who have gone to the Beach have a great Spring Break and think of me here in Oxford just carrying on the same old routine.

And how about our Basketball team and Soft Ball team they have both been doing good some losses but they are working so hard for Ole Miss Fans stand behind our teams.

I went to the last home game for Basketball and was able to see the Football team receive the Cotton Bowl Trophy how great was that. Coach Nut Looked great and we won that was a needed one.

You have a great Blessed day, Hotty Toddy Lotty Doddy get your copy so you can share with others. Also it would make a great Mothers Day or Fathers Day gift or Grandparent gift . Just anytime gift buy yours today.

As you know this cookbook is about tailgating and the grove fun and good times at Oxford and Ole Miss. But come on we are all ready to see some spring weather this has been along winter and for some of you a very hard one with all the Snow and Ice. We have been lucky in Oxford we have seen very little Snow but have had the coldest winter in years, and for some reason we are all ready to have Baseball season for some reason it gives us the feeling of spring being around the corner with summer on it’s way. And remember to pull your cookbook out and cook up a great dish Ya’ll and enjoy some together time in the Kitchen making up some of our great foods, there are some great deserts to choose from as well. So as the Winter comes to an end cook something great and feel warmer as spring comes around the corner. Ya’ll enjoy.

As one walks on to the Grove, they know the place immediately, a myriad of red and blue tents that rest at the trunks of the towering oak trees which create a shaded emerald forest that serves as the heart of the University Of Mississippi on any fall game day in Oxford.

Tents and tents abound. They’re laden with tables, covered in fine linen cloths or anything red or blue. The tables are the host to impressionable spreads of game day cuisine…dishes that keep the taste buds intrigued and the tummy satisfied.

The Grove, just like the football game, is a fine test of endurance. On the field, teams compete for the winning score. On the Grove, entertaining is the sport of choice. The atmosphere possesses a sense of tradition that celebrates southern hospitality and style.

Lavished with chandeliers and finger friendly foods, it’s a bit of a paradox that works seamlessly. Ladies i lovely dresses and heels, gentlemen in suits and ties, it takes the modern date to an olden day tradition. Families set up tents and entertain their children and their friends, creating a setting that is reminiscent of traditional courtships.

If one thing is constant in the land of red and blue Ole Miss script, it is the whimsical nature of Lafayette County and all that is kept beneath its umbrella. A list has been in steady motion, gathering names of fame that found their birth in Oxford. Faulkner,Franklin,Grisham ,McAllister,Freeman,Manning, and the list goes on. It’s a dreamy kind of place that continues to evolve. Yet, the Grove holds down a tradition that exalts young ladies in pretty dresses and young men in suits and ties. Greek letters cover stickers, all stating the love of Ole Miss. That is the way My daughter Sara Beth sees the Grove and I share her vision. The Grove is in all our hearts…….

.
